EARLY WARNING SURVEILLANCE UNIT
The Early Warning Surveillance Unit and Quick Response Team are responsible for immediately verifying reported health events and conducting epidemiologic investigations of reported disease outbreaks.
The Early Warning Surveillance Unit (EWSU) Core Functions:- Rapidly assess and respond to a potential outbreak of Epidemic Prone Diseases.
- Provide epidemiologic technical assistance to field personnel.
- Establish disease surveillance in evacuation centers during disasters and calamities.
